At Zook Fishing Co, our rods are built to perform in real-world fishing conditions and are backed by a straightforward warranty and replacement program designed to keep you on the water.
Our goal is simple: stand behind our products, treat customers fairly, and make the replacement process as easy as possible.

Warranty coverage applies to the original purchaser and begins on the date of purchase. Warranty coverage applies only to rods purchased directly from Zook Fishing Co. or an authorized Zook dealer.
What Is Covered
Our warranty covers manufacturer defects in materials or workmanship under normal fishing use, including:
- Defective rod blanks
- Faulty guides
- Faulty reel seats
- Faulty grips
- Failures resulting from manufacturing defects
- Issues determined to be the result of workmanship or material defects
If a defect is confirmed by Zook Fishing Co., we will replace the rod at no charge.
What Is Not Covered
The warranty does not cover:
- High-sticking or excessive rod angles
- Impact damage from boat hatches, T-tops, trolling motors, car doors, rod lockers, sinkers, or other objects
- Exceeding the rod's intended application
- Improper storage or transportation
- Modifications or repairs performed by anyone other than Zook Fishing Co.
- Cosmetic damage
- Normal wear and tear
- Lost or stolen rods

Custom Rod Warranty
At Zook Fishing Co., every custom rod is built by hand using premium components selected specifically for the application it is intended for. We use industry-leading blanks, guides, reel seats, grips, and hardware from trusted manufacturers to ensure our custom rods are capable of handling the demands of serious anglers.
This warranty applies to all custom-built rods, including:
- Custom Inshore Rods
- Custom Bass Rods
- Custom Offshore Rods
- Other custom-built rods produced by Zook Fishing Co.
What Is Covered
Our custom rod warranty covers manufacturer defects in materials or workmanship under normal fishing use, including:
- Defective rod blanks
- Faulty guides
- Faulty reel seats
- Faulty grips
- Failures resulting from manufacturing defects
- Issues determined to be the result of workmanship or component failure
What Is Not Covered
The custom rod warranty does not cover:
- High-sticking or excessive rod angles
- Impact damage from boat hatches, T-tops, rod holders, sinkers, gaffs, or other objects
- Damage resulting from improper storage or transportation
- Exceeding the intended use of the rod
- Modifications or repairs performed by anyone other than Zook Fishing Co.
- Cosmetic damage
- Normal wear and tear
- Lost or stolen rods
Because every custom rod is built specifically for the customer, warranty claims are reviewed individually.
If the issue is determined to be the result of a manufacturing defect, Zook Fishing Co. will repair, rebuild, or replace the rod at our discretion.

Production Rod Accident Replacement Program
Let's be honest... sometimes stuff happens.
Car doors. Ceiling fans. T-tops. Boat hatches. Rod lockers. Sinkers. Stepping on one in the dark at 4:30 AM before a fishing trip.
We've seen it all.
While our rods are built to handle fish, they aren't always built to handle everything else life throws at them.
For current production rod models, we offer a simple Accident Replacement Program to help get you back on the water quickly.

Once we receive your order and photos, our team will contact you to arrange either:
- Pickup at our Baton Rouge warehouse
- Delivery to your preferred participating dealer on the next scheduled dealer shipment
Once your replacement rod arrives, we'll notify you and provide pickup instructions.
No shipping broken rods back to us. No complicated paperwork. No headaches.
Just a simple way to help when accidents happen.
Custom Rod Accident Replacement
Due to the wide variety of blanks, guides, reel seats, grips, decorative wraps, and specialty components used in our custom rod builds, custom rods are not eligible for the standard $50 Production Rod Accident Replacement Program.
If a custom rod is damaged due to accidental breakage, misuse, impact damage, or any other non-warranty issue, replacement or repair options will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Local & Dealer Service
Baton Rouge Customers
If you are located near Baton Rouge, Louisiana, warranty claims and accident replacements can be handled in person at our warehouse. Please email us for directions and to set up a drop off time.
Authorized Dealers
Many of our authorized dealers are able to assist with warranty claims and accident replacements.
Dealer participation varies by location. If you would prefer to work through a dealer, contact us and we will direct you to the nearest participating location.
Shipping Damage
If your rod arrives damaged from the shipping carrier, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide photographs of:
- The damaged rod
- The shipping tube or box
- Any visible damage to the packaging
We will work with the shipping carrier to resolve the issue and arrange a replacement if necessary.
Discontinued Models
If your rod model has been discontinued, it will be replaced with the closest comparable model currently available.
Additional Terms
- Warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser.
- Warranty coverage is non-transferable.
- Customers must retain possession of the damaged rod for at least 30 days after submitting a warranty claim or accident replacement request.
- Zook Fishing Co reserves the right to request additional photos or information before approving any warranty claim or accident replacement request.
- Zook Fishing Co reserves the right to deny any claim determined to be outside warranty coverage.
- Fraudulent or abusive warranty claims may result in denial of future warranty service.
- Accident Replacement pricing applies only to current production rod models.
- Custom rods are not eligible for the standard $50 Production Rod Accident Replacement Program.
- Replacement and repair options for custom rods are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
