Happened to stumble upon this unique rod choosing between Duckett Fishing, Daiwa and Falcon. The Daiwa Tatula was super close to being my selection but something about this rod just gave more personality and just a “home is where the heart is feeling”. I feel super confident about the purchase given it is an early gift to myself (June 29th is my born day lol) and that was the biggest thing, feeling confidence in the purchase. Compared it to my trusty dusty Ugly Stik Carbon Caster and the weight difference was surprising but didn’t give any doubt in the rigidity department for the Lagniappe. The only way to showcase is watching it work and make it back home the way it came, tomorrow we shall see but for now, totally in love with this thing!

Extremely great action rod perfect for the job I needed it for

Love my light current sword rod! We have caught many swords up to 250 lbs and also have used it trolling catching many wahoo and tuna. We even use it to deep drop and have landed scamp, warsaw, yellow edge, snowy groupers, as well as snapper and I’m sure other species I am forgetting!

The tip action is perfect for seeing that daytime sword bite!

Finally got to take my new e-3 out. Bought the 7’1 medium power and paired it with a Florida fishing products osprey v2. Instantly became my favorite set up. Super light and extremely sensitive! Put the smackdown on some trout!
