Daytime Sword/Deep Drop

The Daytime Sword rod is a powerhouse engineered specifically for deep-drop swordfishing, built to perform in the demanding offshore waters of the Gulf and beyond. Featuring a proven blank with a fast action, this rod delivers the ideal balance of lifting power and bite detection to feel subtle swordfish pickups while maintaining the backbone needed for brutal deep-water fights. With its #4 ferrule and 12" foregrip, it thrives under the strain of extreme depths, heavy lead, and trophy-class fish.

Now offered in two purpose-built line classes, the Daytime Sword can be tailored to your fishery and conditions:

Light Current (60–100 lb Line Class)
Designed for lighter current scenarios and typically fished with 2–6 pound weights, this setup excels as a dedicated daytime sword rod while doubling as an outstanding option for deep-water snapper, grouper, and tilefish.

Heavy Current (80–130 lb Line Class)
Built for stronger current, heavier leads, and maximum pulling power, this model is ideal when conditions get tough and extra backbone is critical. It also doubles as an exceptional buoy rod, giving anglers a versatile option for daytime swording or buoy fishing applications.

Whether you're chasing broadbill in the depths or dropping on hard-bottom species, the Daytime Sword delivers the performance and reliability needed when it matters most.

Engineered for Deep-Drop Swordfishing. Ready for Anything:
From subtle daytime sword bites to hard runs from deep-water giants, the Daytime Sword is designed to perform under pressure. Whether you're targeting trophy swordfish or loading the box with snapper, grouper, and tilefish, this rod is built to get it done.
